Gerlind Wisskirchen is a partner and specialist lawyer in employment and labor law. The Labor and Employment Law Team has been ranked by JUVE in the first tier for years. The team’s strength lies in its in-depth understanding of the economic environment in which clients operate. She and her team strive to forge workable business solutions to real-world problems. Gerlind advises German and foreign multinational companies on all areas of individual and collective employment law, in particular, on the issues of restructuring and reorganization, outsourcing, collective bargaining (e.g. the introduction of ERA) and works council aspects, privatizations, transactions and personnel adjustment measures. She frequently acts as a consultant to the management of a company in order to structure business plans and strategies from an HR/employment perspective.
In a global arena where national jurisdictions play a lesser role, she has particular expertise in cross-border aspects and heads corresponding European projects such as cross-border transfers of business and outsourcing and off-shoring, issues of compliance, cross-border audits and investigations with regard to compliance issues, matrix structures of multinational companies, European works councils, the implementation of codes of conduct and whistle-blowing systems, the assignment/relocation of employees, data privacy issues and holistic production systems (Toyota business system, Lean, Kaizen etc.). She developed the \\\\\\\"EU Labor & Employment Law Navigator\\\\\\\" – a comparative analysis of labor law systems in Europe.
Gerlind regularly gives talks and holds seminars both for employment and HR specialists and at national and International conferences, such as the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the American Employment Law Council.
